Living and promoting Irish and Irish-American culture in the Southern California area. Its primary goal is to present and preserve our Irish culture by sponsoring events that will promote our “Irish dance, music, theatre, language, sports and all other aspects of our heritage.”
FEIS at the FAIR
The Feis (Irish Traditional Step Dance Competition) is sponsored by the Irish Fair and hosted by the Aniar Academy. Christine Byrne, TCRG, is the Teacher at Aniar Academy. It is one of the largest Irish Step Dancing competitions in California and is presented on 6 stages at the BIG IRISH FAIR. Prominent Feis adjudicators and musicians from Ireland and elsewhere are engaged for the FEIS at the FAIR. Over 1000 colorfully and traditionally costumed Irish Step Dancers perform at the BIG IRISH FAIR.
